Draft for review

This policy is provided as a draft for review. It should be reviewed and finalized for your specific business and jurisdiction before publication. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

1. Introduction

AppsTestLab is an independent service that helps developers get their Android apps tested, listed, and launched on Google Play. We offer app testing, store listing and ASO, Google Play Console setup, policy and compliance assistance, and growth and maintenance services.

Most of our work is coordinated through WhatsApp, which means the information you share with us is usually information you choose to give us directly. We do not collect information from this website through tracking scripts, analytics pixels, or advertising cookies.

2. Information we may receive

We only receive information that you (or the systems you use to reach us) provide. In practice this includes:

  • Details you share in WhatsApp messages, such as your name, WhatsApp number, or the address you ask us to use for communication;
  • Information about your app and your Google Play account that you request help with;
  • Project materials such as app files, screenshots, artwork, store listing text, and related documentation;
  • Routine technical information that the hosting infrastructure serving this website may automatically log, such as IP address and request details, as part of normal internet communication.

We do not operate analytics tools, advertising networks, or third-party trackers on this website, and we do not buy or otherwise obtain personal information about people who visit it.

3. Information provided through WhatsApp and contact interactions

WhatsApp is our primary contact channel. When you message us, WhatsApp provides us with your WhatsApp number and the content of our conversation. Anything you type — including details about your app, your development setup, or your business — is information you voluntarily provide.

WhatsApp is operated by Meta. When you contact us through WhatsApp, your messages are transmitted and stored through WhatsApp's own infrastructure, and WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to that underlying service. We do not control WhatsApp or how Meta processes its users' data.

4. Information related to app and project submissions

To provide our services we may need to work with files and details related to your app, including:

  • App files and builds you provide for testing or review;
  • Store listing content such as titles, descriptions, screenshots, and feature graphics;
  • Google Play Console details or account information you choose to grant access to;
  • Testing feedback, bug reports, and progress notes we prepare on your project.

We treat these materials as confidential and use them only to perform the service you asked for, unless you tell us otherwise.

5. How we use information

We use the information we receive to:

  • Respond to your questions and coordinate the service you have requested;
  • Perform testing, auditing, listing, setup, and compliance assistance work for your app;
  • Prepare reports, feedback, and recommendations for you;
  • Handle requests under our money-back guarantee, such as verifying eligibility and processing refunds;
  • Keep records needed for support, billing, and dispute resolution;
  • Meet our legal and platform obligations.

6. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in specific, limited situations:

  • With the people testing your app. For testing services, the app and related material may be shared with the testers you have approved, so they can perform the testing you asked for.
  • With Google Play and Google Play Console. Materials you submit, or that we help you prepare for submission, go to Google as part of the review and publishing process. That data is handled under Google's own policies and is ultimately associated with your developer account, which you control.
  • With WhatsApp / Meta. Messages and calls on WhatsApp pass through WhatsApp's systems.
  • Where required by law. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

7. Third-party services we actually use

The third-party services that are actually part of how our work happens today are:

  • WhatsApp (Meta) for communication;
  • Google Play and Google Play Console as the platform your app is prepared for and submitted to;
  • The hosting infrastructure that serves this static website, which may keep standard server logs.

This website does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or marketing tooling. We do not run cookie banners because we do not use non-essential cookies on this website.

8. Data retention

We keep the information received for as long as we reasonably need it to provide our services, respond to requests, resolve disputes, support refund guarantees, and comply with obligations related to the work we perform.

Some project records, such as testing evidence or appeal documentation, may need to be retained longer because they relate to your Google Play account's history. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can always ask us about what we hold.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle. Because much of our work is coordinated through WhatsApp, the security of your messages also depends on the protections WhatsApp provides and on the practices you use on your own device.

Please do not share sensitive personal information that is not needed for the service you are requesting, and treat any access you grant us to your Google Play Console or accounts as something you can revoke at any time.

10. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or personalization, and it does not run third-party tracking scripts. If you open or use WhatsApp as part of contacting us, WhatsApp (Meta) may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies, which are outside our control.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to the personal information we hold about you, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion, and to withdraw any consent you have given.

You can exercise these rights by contacting us through WhatsApp. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge a fee for reasonable requests. This section is descriptive rather than a statement of legal compliance, and your specific entitlements may depend on the law that applies to you.

12. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for developers and businesses that are old enough to own and operate an app and a Google Play developer account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us on WhatsApp and we will remove it where we are able to do so.

13. International data considerations

Our customers contact us from many countries. Using WhatsApp means message data is processed by Meta across its global infrastructure. Materials you prepare for Google Play are submitted to Google's systems. If you engage our services from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in other countries through these tools.

14. Changes to this policy

We update this page as our practices change. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back here periodically. Material changes that affect an active engagement will also be communicated through our usual channels.

15. Contact

If you have questions about this policy or about the information we hold, the fastest way to reach us is on WhatsApp. You can also use the contact page.
